The GCMA is dedicated to the Continuing Professional Development of its members and in serving their needs will strive through education and training to maintain standards of excellence in golf club management throughout the profession.
Research has shown that the GCMA leads the way in education and training provision for golf club managers and has been influential in developing training that is job specific, so improving the status of the profession leading to greater recognition of its members. The GCMA has worked closely with Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) to develop a one year certificate course in Golf Club Management, year one of a future degree course.
The GCMA Mission Statement includes “GCMA is dedicated to the continuing professional development of its members……” and GCMA has provided and continues to provide a range of education and training opportunities which support professional development. Other training providers also offer a wide range of courses that can be used as evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
