Manager of the Year Award 2010
The GCMA would like to congratulate all the applicants who were nominated for the 2010 Manager of the Year award. All the applicants are highly respected by their respective club members; to achieve nomination is an accolade to be proud of. However there can only be one outright winner and the award is given to the individual that has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities during the previous year.
Each year the judges have the difficult task of narrowing down the selection of high calibre entries to the finalists. This year’s selection was made particularly difficult due to the largest number of applications received to date.
This year’s six finalists all demonstrated a depth of knowledge and understanding of market forces. They can all be proud that their decisions have taken their clubs upwards and onwards in a fragile economic climate.
The 2010 Manager of the Year, Peter Johns, Eaton Golf Club, Norwich was announced as the winner at the Association's AGM on 6th April at The Kendleshire Golf Club.
The 2010 Manager of the Year Runner-Up is Terry Walker, Lingdale Golf Club, Leicestershire.
