Conferences

The last National Conference was held in November 2007 at The Belfry, Wishaw, Midlands. Our next National Conference will be held in 2009, please contact us for further details. The GCMA holds National Conferences, where 200+ delegates attend for 2-3 days and learn about the latest topics and challenges in Golf Club Management. These occasions also provide the opportunity to network with colleagues who face similar day-to-day challenges.

Attendance is open to both GCMA members and non-members, and is ideally suited to anyone with an interest in the golf management industry. If you would like more details about attending as a delegate, or an exhibitor, please contact GCMA Head Office on 01934 641166 or by email to hq@gcma.org.uk

Golf Tournaments

Members are eligible to compete for a number of trophies with competitions held regularly at various clubs. These are always highly competitive yet social events and are well supported. Annual matches are between the English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish Secretaries. During September 2003, a team of Swedish Secretaries travelled to the UK again for a match.

Results of matches will be posted on the Notice Board on the Website.

Annual General Meeting - 2009

The 2009 AGM will be on Wednesday, 25th March at the East Sussex National Golf Club

Regional Meetings

Effective communication and support is given to Secretaries through business meetings in our structure of 17 Regions covering England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Many of these regions also have separate business meetings in smaller units within the region, covering counties or districts. Golf competitions are also held at many meetings and Regional Secretaries report on activities within their area in the Associations journal - Golf Club Management. GCMA members may also receive courtesy at clubs of which their secretaries are members. However this is at individual clubs discretion and should always be checked in advance.

Dates, and places of these regional meetings will be found here on the GCMA Website Notices.
