As a consequence of GDPR: one to look out for

A club who uses an agency to take tee bookings was caught out recently when the organiser of a large group phoned up to add catering to the booking. The agency paid the green fees due, but the group subsequently turned up and disappeared without paying for the food. Because the contact details were held by the agency, and the club was not able to persuade the agency to part with them (GDPR!), the club lost out. Therefore, the club in question would like to advise those who deal with this kind of booking to always collect their own contact details if taking an addition to an agency booking.
