Celebrating five years of On Course Foundation

Friday 3 July saw On Course Foundation celebrate a momentous occasion; its 5th anniversary. Against the beautiful backdrop of the Royal Household Golf Club and Windsor Castle, key supporters including GCMA CEO Bob Williams helped mark the event with a 9 hole Texas Scramble and lunch. Those in attendance included dedicated fundraisers, including past Captain of Cranleigh Golf Club David Fowler, and advocates from the Red Arrows.

The foundation acknowledges it would have never have been able to reach such a milestone without the vision of Founder and President, John Simpson, who has helped transform the lives of over 450 beneficiaries.

Speaking at the event, John spoke of how proud he was to help steer the Foundation to such heights:

“I am genuinely honoured to have helped so many of our beneficiaries recovery with the power of golf. From those with physical injuries to those suffering mental health illnesses, to those injured in the last year to those injured thirty years ago; I am so humbled by their strength, courage and determination. To know that alongside such a great team we have been able to provide a real path to recovery, and more than that, help these inspiring individuals find meaningful roles in the industry, means more than I can ever attempt to articulate. I know we have so many more to help, but we can get there which such incredible support from our beneficiaries and supporters.”

Operations Manager Alex Woolston explains more:

“With a number of our beneficiaries themselves in attendance, we welcomed the opportunity to thank them for helping us achieve so much. An array of awards were presented to those that had dedicated so much of their time to help spread awareness about On Course Foundation.

We thank everyone who has helped us reach our 5th anniversary, and very much look forward to celebrating many more milestones together in the coming years.”
