Don’t miss the social side of the GCMA 2017 Conference

The GCMA Conference – taking place this year at Mercedes-Benz World from Sunday 12 – Tuesday 14 November 2017 – is the main social event in the golf club management calendar, offering a chance to catch up with friends, and to grow your network.  As usual, as well as plenty of learning opportunities, the fun social events that are planned are just as important. Read on to find out what’s in the social programme.

On Sunday, in the stunning surroundings of Mercedes-Benz World, we screech from the start line with two great opportunities to catch up with fellow delegates and other GCMA members.

In the afternoon, you will have the chance to explore Mercedes-Benz World, visit Brooklands museum, and to take part in a F1 simulator fastest lap competition, with prizes for the fastest man and woman and, more importantly, the chance to claim bragging rights for the rest of the conference!

Later, after a buffet dinner and in informal surroundings, join BBC golf correspondent Iain Carter to hear some tales from the tours, alongside Le Golf National’s Paul Armitage, who’ll give an insight into the fascinating preparations for the 2018 Ryder Cup, and 2024 Olympic Golf.

Monday evening is the focal point of the social programme. After the final keynote of the day from The R&A’s David Rickman, there will be a complimentary drinks reception for all delegates, kindly supported by Material Matters.

The rest of the evening will include various entertainment, and a buffet dinner, before the GCMA Golf Club Management Awards ceremony begins. Once the winners have been crowned, there will be further opportunities for networking, before carriages arrive and you are transported back to your hotel, where, we’re sure, more informal networking will continue!

Places are limited – the 2015 Conference sold out, so to ensure your attendance just fill in the booking form here.

We look forward to seeing you in November – cheers!
