GCMA mourns loss of former captain Dick Muirhead

Former GCMA national captain Dick Muirhead has passed away at the age of 92

Everyone at the GCMA was saddened to hear of the recent passing of life member Dick Muirhead. 

Dick, who was captain of the association in 1988, passed away on October 6 at the age of 92. 

He lived close to Ramsey Golf Club in Cambridgeshire, where he served as secretary between 1976 and 1996. 

Dick's house was so close to the course that green staff had access to his garden to cut the grass. 

He retired from the police service before taking up his role at Ramsey, having achieved the rank of detective chief superintendent....
