The Club:
Rhondda Golf Club, founded in 1910 boasts some of the best views in Golf. It’s unique, mountain top location enjoys wonderful views of the Rhondda Valleys below, and as far as the Bristol Channel on the horizon. The weather is always a factor for both green staff and players on this enjoyable and tricky 18-hole, Par 70 course. Rhondda Golf Club, without doubt, provides the best value for money golf in Wales. The staff team comprise of General Manager, Administrative Assistant, Greens Staff (Head Green Keeper, 2 Green Keepers), Bar Staff (Bar Steward, Casual Bar Staff), and Retail Assistant.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional to lead change, develop a new vision and strategic plan, maximising income generation and business development opportunities to make the Rhondda Golf Club financially robust and sustainable for the future. We are looking for someone to play a key role in increasing and diversifying income streams, including the development of a new and junior member recruitment strategy and existing member retention strategy.
Rhondda Golf Club want to be outward looking and become part of the wider Rhondda community, building new relationships with local third sector organisations, charities, Just Play Golf, the Council, Wales Golf, and potential private sector partners.
The successful candidate will lead day to day operations and drive Rhondda Golf Club to become the most friendly and welcoming Golf Club in Wales, delivering our ambition to be ‘More than a Golf Club’.
Remuneration:
£34,000 – £37,000 (starting salary will depend on experience)
Benefits: Complimentary Club Membership; 25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holiday. TOIL can be arranged with the agreement of the Club Captain.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hrs Per Week, flexible working arrangements, ensuring office coverage 10-4pm, with evening and weekend working as required.
