From inspiring keynote speakers and engaging breakout sessions to dazzling entertainment and lively networking, the GCMA 2023 Conference had it all The GCMA would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended this year's Conference and ensured the event was a success. We had the privilege of hosting incredible keynote speakers, collaborating with valued partners, and welcoming our esteemed members. Together, we explored the dynamic, often undervalued world of Team Culture, and gained incredible insight from the experts in fostering meaningful connections within a team. Networking was at its best, and the shared passion for growth and learning was truly inspiring. We hope you left with a wealth of knowledge and new connections that will fuel your professional journey as a Golf Club Manager. From Sunday's Golfest Team Challenge until the closing of Conference on the Tuesday, there was an incredible array of peer-to-peer learning and networking opportunities on offer. Those who attended at the weekend were treated to a wonderful night of entertainment from the hilarious Conor Moore [above], while Monday's programme saw keynote Kevin Fish set the tone with his presentation on strategies for team culture. Many of the breakout sessions were member-led and packed with insights, as was Annette Andrews' keynote, which is sure to have inspired those who saw it. Performance Coach Owen Eastwood [below] later had the room gripped as he detailed his varied experiences in inspiring high-profile teams across the world. The Monday evening saw the 2023 GCMA Member Awards, held during the gala dinner and in which prizes were handed out in six categories. Congratulations to all the winners and the nominees. Craig Haldane, Director of Education at the Bernhard Company, and award-winning speaker Brendan Hall [top] maintained the high quality of the keynotes on the final day of a truly memorable Conference. The success of this event is a testament to the vibrant network within the GCMA and beyond.
