With over three decades of experience in security and risk management, Colin brings unparalleled insights into leadership, resilience, and teamwork, qualities essential to success in any industry, including golf club management.
Colin’s military journey began in 1989, serving nine years with the Royal Scots before joining the elite 22 SAS at the age of just 23. His SAS career involved high-stakes missions, including the daring hostage rescue from the West Side Boys in Sierra Leone, a mission so intense it was named Operation Certain Death. He was also instrumental in handling the longest hostage siege on UK soil, responding as the first sniper during the four-day standoff when a hijacked Afghan plane landed in London in 2000.
Beyond his military service, Colin has collaborated with international special forces, including Delta Force and Seal Team 6, advised high-profile clients from the Saudi Royal Family to global celebrities, and pursued academic excellence. Earning a First-Class MA (Hons.) in History from Edinburgh University and an M.Litt in Terrorism from St. Andrews University.
Today, Colin shares his knowledge through television, books, and gaming while supporting various charities, including his own foundation, Who Dares Cares, which aids veterans and individuals facing stress-related challenges.
