For the second time in 2019 England Golf (EG) have planned online activity focused on increasing the participation of Women and Girls.  It will be running from Monday, 29 July through to Sunday, 4 August.

The key themes for the week are:

– Monday Careers women working in the industry
– Tuesday Celebrities who love the game and why
– Wednesday Health & Wellbeing sharing all the positive impacts the game has
– Thursday Competing the variety of opportunities the game has to offer
– Friday Volunteers the hidden heroes behind the game
– Saturday Participation focus on key areas of the programme nationwide
– Sunday Wrap-up the week’s activities and highlights

If you feel you fit one of those days, post and tag @englandgolf.

There are a number of ways to leverage their initiative:

1. Tell your story.  EG would love to hear from women and girls up and down the land about what golf means to them. So, why not share your story across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook using #WhyIGolf And don’t forget to tag EG (see below)

2.  More ideas for social media content are to answer one or all of these questions:
Who or what inspired you to get involved with golf?  In three words describe how golf makes you feel.  What does it feel like when you finally hit ‘that shot’? What would you say to someone thinking about taking up golf?

3.  Perhaps you know someone who deserves a shout out but is too shy do it themselves?
Please share your positive stories about great women in the business of golf.

4.  Instagram Stories:
If you’d like to be featured in the #WhyIGolf stories, send EG a 15-30 second clip of yourself, filmed in portrait mode, sharing your #WhyIGolf story.

• Photos: Send EG your photos or videos clips to share on Twitter and Facebook, along with a bio and your #WhyIGolf story. A maximum of 200 words, please!

Don’t forget… You will need to send EG any relevant handles for Instagram, Twitter and Facebook so they can tag you and your club or organisation!

Please note: The deadline for sending content in advance is midday on Friday 19 July, 2019. If you’d like to be featured, please send your content in advance to via email to: [email protected]

5. Send England Golf your content

Fancy being featured directly in an Instagram story? Maybe a featured tweet, or album on Facebook?
They are looking for as much user-generated content as possible so they can do a collective SHOUT OUT (or two, or three…) across their channels over the week.

How about the following:

• Instagram Stories: If you’d like to be featured in EnglandGolf’s #WhyIGolf stories, send them a 15-30 second clip of yourself, filmed in portrait mode, sharing your #WhyIGolf story.

• Photos: Send your photos or videos clips to share on Twitter and Facebook, along with a bio and your #WhyIGolf story. A maximum of 200 words, please.

Don’t forget… You will need to send them any relevant handles for Instagram, Twitter and Facebook so they can tag you and your club or organisation! Please note: The deadline for sending content in advance is midday on Friday 19 July, 2019. If you’d like to be featured, please send content in advance to: [email protected]
