A virtual Open event where you can find out more about a new groundbreaking degree in golf club management will be held on Saturday, December 11.

The team behind the BA (Hons) Golf Club Management will be explaining more about the innovative programme in a morning of activities from 10am.

Launched in May, the programme has seen the GCMA join forces with Cornwall College to deliver the degree, which aims to service the needs of the golf industry by developing highly educated industry professionals.

Reported as the first course of its kind to offer a golf-based management qualification “without requiring a minimum playing proficiency”, it will represent the highest academic qualification in the subject.

Those who sign up to the event will hear from the GCMA, learn more about the degree’s content, and learn from Colt Mackenzie McNair on how they will support students into work placements in the industry.

There will also be the opportunist to get information about student financing and the chance to ask questions about the course.
