New National Minimum Wage (NMW) and National Living Wage (NLW) rates have been released ahead of their introduction on 1st April 2020. The main rates will rise by over 6% which is over four times the rate of inflation. See https://www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage-rates for full details and apprentice entitlements. The new rates are as follows: - Workers aged 25 and over (NLW): £8.72 an hour (51p increase) Workers aged 21 -24: £8.20 an hour (50p increase) Development rate for workers aged 18-20: £6.45 an hour (30p increase) Under 18: £4.55 an hour (20p increase) New Statutory Rates for sick, maternity, paternity pay etc., have not been published for 2020 yet.
