April 2020 National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage Rates

New National Minimum Wage (NMW) and National Living Wage (NLW) rates have been released ahead of their introduction on 1st April 2020. The main rates will rise by over 6% which is over four times the rate of inflation. See https://www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage-rates for full details and apprentice entitlements.   The new rates are as follows: -   Workers aged 25 and over (NLW): £8.72 an hour (51p increase) Workers aged 21 -24: £8.20 an hour (50p increase) Development rate for workers aged 18-20: £6.45 an hour (30p increase) Under 18: £4.55 an hour (20p increase)    New Statutory Rates for sick, maternity, paternity pay etc., have not been published for 2020 yet....
