Matthew Orwin, Managing Partner at Promote Golf, believes “good ‘selling’ is just good service”.
The Advanced Management Programme’s Sales & Service Delivery Certificate provides the skills and knowledge to help you maximise revenue growth opportunities while developing hospitality excellence in all areas.
Designed for forward-thinking professionals who are focused on delivering outstanding member experiences and sustainable business growth, the two-day course will explore practical, revenue-driven strategies.
Led by experts Promote Golf, the course takes place in Cardiff across September 10-11 and is open for booking now.

Matthew Orwin, Managing Partner at Promote Golf, said: “Over the two days, this course empowers golf operators to drive real growth and hospitality excellence, building effective lead-generation strategies, converting enquiries into memberships, optimising tee-sheet revenue, and creating those memorable service moments that set your club apart. Ultimately, good ‘selling’ is actually also just good service.”
During a series of practical workshops, you will create and build a number of revenue generation and service excellence action plans, including action plans for lead generation in membership, green fee and golf day business; a tee sheet management policy to maximise utilisation and golfer experience; and plans for enhancing service and hospitality experience to help create ‘memorable moments’ for both members and visitors.

All Certificates delivered as part of the Advanced Management Programme so far have received glowing feedback from delegates, with satisfaction scores for some aspects reaching 100%.
Roger Hyder, General Manager at Canterbury Golf Club, attended the Marketing Strategy course, describing it as a “godsend” that opened his eyes to new approaches.
“I’ve been on countless training courses over 35 years, but I got such a lot from the two days on this one. I can’t speak highly enough of [Course Leaders] David and Nicole Wheatley,” he said.
“I specifically went for the Marketing Strategy certificate because I’ve got some real issues in a couple of departments where my revenues have actually dipped. I said, ‘Look, if I can learn just 10% something new, it’d be terrific’, and my expectations were by far exceeded.”
