GCMA Conference: I was there in 2021 and I’ll be back this year!

The GCMA 2021 Conference made an impact on its attendees, with many heading back for this year’s event.

With the GCMA 2023 Conference fast approaching, now is the time to secure your spot and reap the benefits.

Offering excellent networking and professional development opportunities, this year’s event will be hosted at the Leonardo Hotel and Conference Venue Hinckley Island, Leicester from November 12 to 14 and is open to members and non-members alike.

Our dedicated magazine for the event will provide all the information you need to digest and much more. The magazine is available to download here

Pat Murphy, Director of Golf at The Kendleshire, attended in 2021 and is looking forward to the next edition.

“The chance to spend a few days away from our normal environment with people who understand our industry inside out is something not to be missed,” he said.

“I have been to the last three conferences and have always left feeling empowered again and full of energy.

“Our teams and customers are the most important thing in our business and I am sure I will leave this year’s conference buzzing about what is possible – and I have been doing this job for a long time.”

“I would defy anyone to leave one of Greg Patterson’s seminars not thinking they could sell golf and hospitality to the world. The same can be said of listening to Kevin Fish and his analytical mind and knowledge of our industry.

“Our teams and customers are the most important thing in our business and I am sure I will leave this year’s conference buzzing about what is possible – and I have been doing this job for a long time.”

And Murphy is not alone in his excitement for returning to the conference after attending in 2021, with Teignmouth’s General Manager Martin Hucklesby also raring to go.

Asked why being there mattered to him, Hucklesby replied: “It is important to talk to my fellow General Managers so we can share the challenges and pressures of work.

“The challenges seem greater than ever and sometimes it helps to share with more GMs.”
