How community plays a key role in GCMA membership

When you join the GCMA you receive access to tools to help you to excel professionally, a range of services to support your personal wellbeing, and you become part of a tight-knit community, with both local and national opportunities to network with your peers.

In this article, after an introduction to the association, we concentrate on the community benefits of joining the GCMA.

Who we are

The Golf Club Managers’ Association was formed in 1933: by golf club managers, for golf club managers.

We have a history and heritage of which we are proud, but we also have an exciting vision for developing and shaping the future of golf club management in the UK. Our members are at the heart of everything we do.

As the leading association for golf club management in the UK, we are committed to making a positive difference to golf, through supporting the professional and personal wellbeing of our members.

We recognise the importance of not only providing our members with technical guidance and advice, but also delivering a wide range of education and professional development opportunities AND supporting personal development and wellbeing.

We’d love to welcome you as a member of our association and we look forward to supporting and working alongside you.

When you join the GCMA, you are joining a community. Through our regions, and national events, we’ll give you the opportunity to network with your fellow members and with other professionals and organisations.

Our biennial Conference provides the perfect opportunity to meet old friends and new, while hearing from the industry’s leading experts. The Golf Club Management Awards recognise outstanding performances among GCMA members, while our exclusive golf competitions and events give you the opportunity to represent the association on the regional and international stage.

You’ll receive a subscription to our respected monthly journal – The Golf Club Manager – while regular email updates and a weekly e-newsletter will ensure you’ve got the latest news and advice at your fingertips.
