Thresholds for Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) Status Update

Following enquiries from a number of our members, we’ve been in correspondence with a number of contacts including England Golf, to address concerns regarding the upper revenue limits for CASC registered Golf Clubs. The following update has been shared by England Golf and we will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities on this matter.

Thresholds for Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) Status

Following numerous questions relating to the maximum subscription fee that CASC registered clubs can charge, we have worked with the Sport and Recreation Alliance (SRA), of which England Golf is a member, to ask that the threshold is reviewed to take into account inflation increases, which have not been updated since they were introduced in 2015. The issue has been submitted to the government and are to be considered in the current spending review, of which the SRA will update us on once the outcome is delivered in June.

We will keep clubs updated as we get more information.

If you are a CASC registered club but would like support in exiting the scheme, please speak to your CCSO who can help.
