GCMA 2023 National Golf Day report

The association's 2023 National Golf Day, held at the superbly presented Kedleston Park on July 25, saw Paul Thornton and Ray Grant triumph over fellow GCMA members in a closely fought competition.

Returning a six-over-par score of 78, Paul Thornton [pictured above with GCMA National Captain Alan Davey] from Northwood Park pinched the Greenshields trophy for the best gross score from Louis Matamala on countback, with Phil Housley in third place.

The Foundation Cup was equally close, with five players separated by just two shots at the top of the leaderboard....
