The GCMA Golf Club Management Awards have been expanded for 2015, with two new categories alongside Manager of the Year.
We received hundreds of nominations for Manager of the Year, Newcomer Manager of the Year, and Team of the Year (Manager, Professional, Head Greenkeeper), making the judging process harder than ever, with many candidates receiving multiple nominations.
All shortlisted nominees received a visit from some of the judges in September, which was then followed up with a formal interview with the full judging panel at Fulford Golf Club this week.
The judges reported that discussions went on long into the night, but that they have finally made their decisions. Congratulations to all of the nominees, especially the shortlisted candidates.

The awards will be made at the GCMA 2015 Conference in November.
HowDidiDo, Europe’s largest golfing community, is sponsoring this year’s competition along with, for the first time, Fairstone Financial Management, which is currently helping golf clubs with auto enrolment of their employees to comply with the Pensions Act 2008.
